Even if her pride wouldn't let her admit it, sometimes Xavin really missed her home planet.

Not that Earth wasn't her home. It was Karolina's home, and wherever Karolina was, Xavin considered that home. Still, she missed Tarnax VII. It might have been filled with war and constant military training, but it had been her planet. The place where she was raised. Earth was completely different and she got the feeling that the others only put up with her for Karolina's sake.

She leaned against the wall, staring up at the night sky. Xavin sighed and wrapped her arms around herself. The stars looked so minuscule from where she stood. She didn't like letting her guard down, or feeling vulnerable, but the entire invasion and fighting Chrell had, as much as she didn't want to admit it, sparked a small feeling of homesickness.
